Over the last few decades, science has given us many new invention aiding and contributing more to human needs.
We have acquired better control over things that were inaccessible in the past. We have built huge buildings, Banks ,companies where millions of workers come everyday. Therefore there is also a need of monitoring them. Digital Surveillance has also proven to reduce crime rates thus its implementation has given us very positive response.
Privacy and security
Privacy as well as security are the most valued concerns whether it's of a company or an individual. There are various ways to ensure these two. An emerging solution to these vulnerable threat is Security cameras. these are playing a vital role in today's high-tech Surveillance system.
Why choose security cameras
yes! you might ask yourself why should you choose installing a camera when you have other alternatives available . Let us acknowledge you that hiring a watchman and installing security camera surveillance system are two different things .Cameras are indispensable tools to ensure security with ease of access.
High -end cameras are now available with auto monitoring /wireless system .They also offer you hassle free cloud storage where you can store your footage recordings also retrieving to cloud information is very convenient. You can monitor your places by simply logging in to your cloud account globally.
Which Camera suits for my purpose.choosing the right camera is very important. It depends on your need, and of course budget. Earlier most of these cameras were very costly but now cheap alternatives are available.
There are mainly two types of Camera's in use.
- Indoor
- Outdoor
Outdoor cameras are mostly used in public places ,facade of office ,Banks etc.
they are also installed along the roads resolving traffic issues /congestion.
- Here we have picked a low price camera with night vision feature that allows video recording in Daylight as well as in dark .It gives Digital TV-OUT signal.that is suitable to be directly viewed on monitors .
- It comes with a 12V handy AC to DC Adapter that powers the Camera CPU. Input tag reads 50/60Hz which means it can work with both the AC frequencies. You might have seen variants since it is widely distributed because of its low price and good features.
key factors to consider during purchase
There are certain points to consider before you give loads of money to seller.
- Video resolution Quality
- Signal system
- Night Vision
- Battery Backup
- Recording Range
Resolution
This is the most affecting factor. Most cameras record videos in range of 480p to 1080p. Higher resolution gives more detailed result and is better to identify people/faces in recordings.
signal system
it allows user to record or see in the dark. Night vision cameras are equipped with a bunch of infrared Led (light emitting diode). LEDs have wide application in remote sensing and Visible spectrum as well.
Below is an illustrating image of a generic camera equipped with night vision feature.
Most of the night vision camera have Light Depending Resistance(LDR) in their circuit which enables automatic turning on IR LEDs in dark ,hence reducing power consumption.
Angle Viewing
You must have heard of wide angle viewing in camera features. This means how much angle your camera can view . Suppose your camera is limited to 130 degree that means objects only falling this radius will be recorded. objects beyond this range doesn't come under camera's view.
Power Consumption
Above all power consumption can not be avoided. Usually wireless cameras have inbuilt battery to power WiFi antenna/camera CPU.Hence battery backup is a significant factor of course one doesn't want a sudden break in their monitoring system.
Recording Range
Cameras record video through analog/digital system. Both are good at their own. If you want higher zooming with good quality video then you should probably consider this factor . Check on label how many times optical /digital zoom your camera can offer.
Night visionit allows user to record or see in the dark. Night vision cameras are equipped with a bunch of infrared Led (light emitting diode). LEDs have wide application in remote sensing and Visible spectrum as well.

- This camera is equipped with 24 IR LED to give highly luminous output even in worse conditions.

Recording Range
This varies by user to user . Though one can prefer higher range camera but you are low in budget you might opt a lower one.
